HSEQ Lead/Manager

The HSEQ Lead/Manager is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management systems across all Panthera Solutions operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role is critical in achieving and maintaining ISO accreditations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in safety and quality throughout our offshore and onshore operations.

The successful candidate will interface with offshore personnel, project teams, clients, regulatory bodies, and certification authorities to deliver consistent HSEQ performance aligned with international standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated management systems to achieve and retain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications
  • Manage all aspects of ISO accreditation processes including gap analysis, documentation, internal audits, management reviews, and liaison with certification bodies
  • Develop, review, and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and work instructions in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular offshore site visits to perform HSEQ inspections, audits, and provide hands-on support to operational teams
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate with client HSEQ representatives and participate in contractor safety forums and audits
  • Develop and deliver HSEQ training programmes for all personnel, including safety inductions and competency assessments
  • Monitor and report on HSEQ performance metrics, KPIs, and lead management reviews
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ Departments of Crosbie Group and member companies to align systems and share best practices
  • Ensure compliance with Guyanese environmental and occupational health regulations, as well as international oil and gas industry standards

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications
  • Minimum 5 years' HSEQ experience in the offshore oil and gas sector
  • Must be willing and able to travel offshore on a regular basis
  • Experience with FPSO operations and understanding of offshore working environments
  • Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (e.g., IOGP, IMCA) and oil and gas industry best practices
  • Experience conducting internal audits, management system reviews, and external certification audits
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and HSEQ management software
  • Valid BOSIET/FOET certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Medically fit to work offshore (OGUK or equivalent medical required)

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent – Essential
  • ISO Lead Auditor certification (9001, 14001, or 45001) – Essential
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or related discipline – Preferred
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent – Desirable
  • Additional certifications in root cause analysis, risk assessment, or incident investigation – Desirable

Note: Local Guyanese candidates are strongly preferred for this position. International applicants with the required offshore oil and gas experience will also be considered.
